How Reputation Works
Your reputation reflects how you interact with the community. It determines what you can do on the platform and helps other users know they can trust you.
1. Reputation Tiers
Your tier is a reflection of your overall standing in the community. As you participate and build trust, you'll advance through the following tiers:
- New — Just signed up. Welcome to the community.
- Green — Verified your email and linked accounts.
- Bronze — Completed your first trade or attended your first meetup.
- Silver — Multiple successful trades and meetups.
- Gold — Sustained positive activity over time.
- Platinum — Long track record of community contribution.
- Diamond — Elite, consistent positive presence.
2. What Helps Your Reputation
- Successfully completing trades
- Attending meetups
- Organizing well-received meetups
- Verifying your email and linking accounts
- Trading with or attending events by people you haven't interacted with before
- Building a streak of positive interactions — bonuses at 10, 20, and 30 consecutive positive interactions
3. What Hurts Your Reputation
Not all negative feedback carries the same weight. Here's a rough guide to how severity is assessed, from most to least serious:
- No-shows are treated most seriously, whether for trades or meetups.
- Scalping and inaccurate ticket descriptions are serious offenses.
- Payment issues and non-payment at meetups carry significant weight.
- Being disruptive or breaking rules at meetups is heavily penalized.
- Late arrivals and being unpleasant carry less weight but still impact your score.
- Submitting false reports is treated as seriously as the worst single offense.
4. Warnings
- If your reputation takes a significant hit in a short period, a warning may appear on your profile.
- Warnings are specific — they describe what was reported.
- A warning icon will appear next to your name across the site.
- Warnings restrict your ability to create listings, claim tickets, RSVP to meetups, or organize events.
- Warnings expire after 12 months, or can be cleared by appealing to an admin.
5. Appeals
- If you believe feedback you received is unfair or fraudulent, you can dispute it.
- Go to your Reputation History page and click "Dispute this" on any feedback entry.
- Provide a reason and any supporting evidence (such as screenshots).
- An admin will review your appeal and make a decision.
6. Staying Active
- Your reputation tier is maintained by staying active on the platform.
- Activity includes logging in, completing trades, attending meetups, and following events.
- After an extended period of inactivity, your tier may gradually decrease.
- You'll never drop below Green if you previously earned a higher tier.
